The objective of the program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to become certified Makeup Artist. The course is recognized and aligned with expectations of The Cosmetology Association of New Brunswick (CANB) and is intended to provide students opportunity to develop the technical skills through classroom and salon like experiences. Graduates of the Makeup Artistry Program can find work as freelancers in a variety of fields. Other opportunities include working as a makeup artist in spas, beauty salons or cruise ships, as well as working as a buyer, distributor or makeup artistry instructor.

The Medes College Makeup Artistry Program provides hands-on training to become an expert in the Beauty Industry. In 300 hours of theoretical and practical training our Makeup Artistry Program consists of: Color theory, tools and products, makeup applications and advanced makeup techniques. Students will gain the skills and training they need to start their successful career.

Schedule: 3.5 days per week

Admissions Requirements:
  • Standard Admission: Grade 12 diploma OR successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Mature Admission: At least 21 years of age with grade 10
  • CANB Certification
  • Medes Makeup Artistry Diploma
